About This Program

Offers a wide variety of family-centered programs and services to meet the individual needs of families and children. — Service provides:

  • a wide variety of family-centered programs and services to meet the individual needs of families and children

Programs include:

  • Early Intervention Program – provides home-based programming, playgroups, support networks, and consultation to families
  • Family Support Services – support workers offer short-term relief and support to families with special needs
  • Group Program – specialized recreation-based group programs operating year-round that focus on the development of social interaction and interpersonal skills
  • Summer Program – specialized recreation-based day camp operating during July and August
  • Early Childhood Development – a family-centered program to provide support, information, advocacy, and links to community agencies
  • Family Consultation and Training Network – helps families increase their understanding of their child's developmental or behavorial needs

Affiliation: Partnered with Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD), Parent Link, and Strathcona County Family and Community Services (FCS).

Eligibility

Yes, Services targeted to:

  • parents / caregivers
  • and their children
  • who may be experiencing developmental delays
  • or have a diagnosed disability

The Early Intervention Program is targeted to:

  • children 0 to 3.5 years
  • and children with special needs from 0 to 18 years

The Summer Program is targeted to:

  • children with special needs from 2.5 to 18 years

The Early Childhood Development is targeted to:

  • children 6 years and younger

Ages: 0–18 years
