The Government of Alberta has a comprehensive list of all the centre-based child care (also known as daycare) and day home providers that can be searched through its Childcare Lookup Tool.

My child is older than 5, where can I look for programs and services?

You can use the Government of Alberta’s School Division Map  to identify and connect with the school division/board in your area. You can also search for programs and services for children of all ages through 211 Alberta.

Can you connect me with the individual programs or supports?

The Early Years Hub is an online database of Early Learning and Child Care programs and services in the Edmonton area. Each organization in the database operates independently, so you will have to contact them directly to get more details about their services.

How do I know if the service or program is good quality?

What are Early Childhood Services?

Early Childhood Services (ECS) are funded by Program Unit Funding (PUF). PUF is a grant provided by the Ministry of Education and Child Care to school authorities for children with developmental disabilities who require additional support beyond that offered in a regular program.
