About This Program

Provides programs and activities at various locations for parents and their children. — Service offers:

  • a variety of drop-in and registered programs and activities at various locations for parents and their children

Includes:

  • Baby Sing and Sensory Play – parents spend time bonding with baby and socializing with other caregivers through a variety of activities aimed at stimulating baby's senses and promoting early learning with musical instruments, songs, puppet play, bubbles, and other sensory and tactile materials
  • Books for Babies – parents learn the importance of reading to their infant and every family takes home a free book each week
  • Busy Bodies – opportunities for children to practice moving their bodies through obstacle courses, games, and activities
  • Discovery Time – provides activity centres that are designed to enhance learning and creativity, engage the senses, and build skills
  • Kids Korner Playtime – children have indoor play time in an unstructured environment
  • Let's Get Artsy! – allows children to use a variety of art mediums; each week will include learning about art, exploring a new art medium, and creating some individual art pieces
  • Mad Science – each week will explore science and perform experiments; this program will allow children to explore, learn, and discover how science works
  • Music and Motion – an hour-long, drop-in dance and movement session that provides opportunities to develop motor skills and enjoy songs, parachute play, and action games
  • Ooie Gooie – sensory exploration as participants make a variety of items and bring home a sample of the creations and the recipe so they can recreate the experience again at home
  • Preschool Prep – focuses on building numeracy and literacy skills through songs, games, and activities; children will begin to prepare for preschool while learning about social skills, letters, numbers, colours, the days of the week, and more
  • Rhymes That Bind – parents can learn songs, finger plays, and simple movement games with their infants and toddlers and discover new ways to bond in a supportive peer environment
  • Rhymes, Songs, and Story Time – an interactive group for parents, caregivers, and children with structured and repetitive routine to help children increase their memory and language skills

  • Let's Get Artsy! – 2 to 6 years
  • Mad Science – 3 to 6 years
  • Music and Motion – 2 to 6 years (siblings welcome)
  • Ooie Gooie – 2 to 6 years

  • Rhymes That Bind – 0 to 6 years (siblings welcome)
