About This Program
Offers advocacy and resources to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. — Service offers:
- support to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through advocacy and resources
Includes:
- developing awareness in communities
- Leadership Series – a workshop for parents of children with developmental disabilities aimed at creating an inclusive life
- Family Voices – a network of advocates working to improve inclusive education and supports in each region of Alberta
- Reg Peters Library
- working with teachers, schools, and school districts to develop inclusive education from preschool to high school by offering consultations and workshops
- Rotary Employment Partnership – works with the business community to create jobs and facilitate the inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities
