About This Program

Provides resources for children and families living with vision loss. — Service offers:

  • assessment of developmental needs associated with vision loss
  • consideration of additional disabilities and environmental needs
  • life skills training
  • educational toys and games and toy lending library
  • children / teen / parents support groups
  • summer youth programs
  • early intervention programs

Affiliation: Alberta Society for the Visually Impaired (ASVI) Key Provider: counsellors, occupational therapists

Eligibility

Yes, Service targeted to:

  • 21 years and younger who have uncorrectable vision loss
  • and their families

Ages: 0–21 years
