About This Program
Provides resources for children and families living with vision loss. — Service offers:
- assessment of developmental needs associated with vision loss
- consideration of additional disabilities and environmental needs
- life skills training
- educational toys and games and toy lending library
- children / teen / parents support groups
- summer youth programs
- early intervention programs
Affiliation: Alberta Society for the Visually Impaired (ASVI) Key Provider: counsellors, occupational therapists
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
- 21 years and younger who have uncorrectable vision loss
- and their families
Ages: 0–21 years
