About This Program
Offers a wide variety of family-centered programs and services to meet the individual needs of families and children. — Service provides:
- a wide variety of family-centered programs and services to meet the individual needs of families and children
Programs include:
- Early Intervention Program – provides home-based programming, playgroups, support networks, and consultation to families
- Family Support Services – support workers offer short-term relief and support to families with special needs
- Group Program – specialized recreation-based group programs operating year-round that focus on the development of social interaction and interpersonal skills
- Summer Program – specialized recreation-based day camp operating during July and August
- Early Childhood Development – a family-centered program to provide support, information, advocacy, and links to community agencies
- Family Consultation and Training Network – helps families increase their understanding of their child's developmental or behavorial needs
Affiliation: Partnered with Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD), Parent Link, and Strathcona County Family and Community Services (FCS).
Eligibility
Yes, Services targeted to:
- parents / caregivers
- and their children
- who may be experiencing developmental delays
- or have a diagnosed disability
The Early Intervention Program is targeted to:
- children 0 to 3.5 years
- and children with special needs from 0 to 18 years
The Summer Program is targeted to:
- children with special needs from 2.5 to 18 years
The Early Childhood Development is targeted to:
- children 6 years and younger
