About This Program

Provides support to families who have questions or concerns regarding their child’s development and works with families to maximize learning opportunities for their children. — Service provides:

  • support for the family in building skills, resources, and opportunities for their child's optimal development
  • support for the development of strong and healthy families, responds to the family's needs and priorities, and maximizes the child's learning opportunities

Includes:

  • visits with parents / caregivers and their children
  • play groups
  • strategies to support the child's development in everyday activities
  • referrals and support in accessing other services and resources
  • developmental screening
  • resources
  • assistance in planning for the child's preschool years

Affiliation: Partnered with Alberta Health Services – Edmonton.

Eligibility

Yes, Service targeted to parents / caregivers and their children 0 to 3.5 years who:

  • are experiencing delays in two or more areas of development
  • or are diagnosed with a develomental disability

Ages: 0–3.5 years
