About This Program
Offers a half day early intervention program. — Service offers:
- a half day Head Start early intervention program
Includes:
- a focus on components from the kindergarten curriculum and learning through play
- early literacy which focuses on the children being actively engaged in acquiring language works with the support of a Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and a Social Worker
- busing to and from school 4 days per week
Parents are expected to attend parent groups. Affiliation: CASA Child, Adolescent, and Family Mental Health Key Provider: community outreach workers, early childhood educators, teachers
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
- children 3.5 to 5 years
- from families with low income
- and are residing in the designated busing area
Ages: 3.5–5 years
