About This Program

Provides programs and workshops on child development and parenting. — Service offers:

  • programs and workshops on child development and parenting

Includes:

  • Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) – a parent completed questionnaire that screens 5 key categories: communication, problem solving, fine motor, gross motor, and social; as follow-up, staff provide tips and activities to try at home or refer participants to helpful programs
  • Kids Have Stress Too – children are facing an increasing amount of stress and anxiety which can have a negative effect on their physical and emotional health; this program is a research-based preventative program designed to help parents build the knowledge and skills required to help their children become more resilient and learn strategies to effectively manage their stress; childcare offered
  • Triple P Parenting Program – a Positive Parenting Program based on evidence and research that is designed to help parents develop a toolbox of strategies and gain an understanding of why their children behave the way they do; 8 sessions will be offered over the course of 4 weeks; attend in-person or online
  • Lunch and Learn – gives caregivers an opportunity to connect with others while learning positive parenting strategies to deal with common parenting concerns such as: raising resilient children, dealing with challenging behaviours, developing successful routines, and more; gain confidence, parenting skills, and new friendships; program uses the Triple P Curriculum; a light lunch will be provided; childcare will be provided
  • Nobody's Perfect – helps parents and caregivers connect with others who are wanting to talk about real-life parenting experiences and learn methods for positive parenting; participants decide what topics they want to learn about and are provided a safe and judgment-free space to share; provides strategies, support, and helps to build on all the positive things parents are already doing
  • Health for Two – support for pregnant women about a variety of health topics related to pregnancy and infant care; includes resources such as prenatal vitamins, milk coupons, and bus tickets

  • Triple P Parenting Program – parents and caregivers of children 3 to 12 years
